There are many styles and colors of rubber gloves and sleeves available to the electric utility industry.
 
To increase efficiency and prevent wasted product, it is important to standardize equipment and purchase only specific colors and styles.
 
Hi-Line recommends the following standard for rubber gloves: 
 
Class

Class 00 Standard Red
Class 0 Standard Yellow
Class 2 Bell Cuff Tri-Color
Class 3 Bell Cuff Red Black
Class 4 Bell Cuff Yellow Black
 
 Advantages of a Color-Class Standard:
 
1. Any rubber glove that fails the testing process can be matched up with a single glove of the same style in your inventory. The extra gloves are not wasted and you do not have to purchase a whole new set.
 
2. All gloves in the standard chart are stock items at Hi-Line. The extensive lead time from the factory (which can sometimes reach 20+ weeks) can be completely eliminated.

    • Properly position the hook brackets with the chain to accommodate the transformer size.
    • Tilt the Transformer Dolly forward allowing the hook brackets to be lowered for attachment to the transformer.
    • Attach the hook brackets to the mount brackets on the transformer.
    • Using the step positioned on top of the pilot wheel, lean the dolly back.
    • Secure the transformer with the hold-down strap.
